The story

USA Pan traces its roots to 1959, when brothers John and Russell Bundy started a bakeware business near Pittsburgh that grew, under the American Pan name, into one of the world’s largest makers of pans for commercial and industrial bakeries. For decades the family’s pans were the workhorses behind professional bakery lines.

In 2009 the Bundys launched USA Pan as a retail brand, putting that same commercial-grade construction into home kitchens. The pans carry over straight from the bakery floor: heavy-gauge aluminized steel, a corrugated surface for even browning, and the family’s PTFE-free AMERICOAT coating. The business remains family-owned, with the consumer bakeware made in Crescent, Pennsylvania.

The same commercial-grade pans that survive thousands of bakery cycles, sized for the home oven.

Why they matter

Bakeware is a heavily imported category, so a Pennsylvania maker building to commercial standards is worth supporting.

Buying USA Pan keeps bakeware manufacturing and its jobs in Pennsylvania.
