The story
Stargazer was founded in 2015 by housewares designer Peter Huntley, who had spent years designing products for other companies and grown frustrated with the decline in quality of goods made overseas.
When he went looking for a great cast iron skillet and couldn’t find one that matched vintage quality, he decided to build it himself — working through 21 designs and countless prototypes in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.
The result kept the heritage of American iron but added modern touches: a smooth surface, a flared rim, and a comfortable stay-cool handle. It earned praise from Bon Appétit, Good Housekeeping, and Popular Mechanics.
