Where Nufabrx products are made

Made and tested in North Carolina
“Each Nufabrx product is manufactured and tested in our North Carolina based facility, all sourced in the USA.”
Stated on the product
“All Nufabrx compression products are Made in the USA” appears on the compression socks, knee sleeve and wrist sleeve pages alike.
The yarn is the product
The company infuses capsaicin into the yarn itself using, in its words, “a patented process and uniquely engineered equipment” — the manufacturing step that sets a Nufabrx garment apart from ordinary compression wear.

What this emblem covers. Nufabrx states that all of its compression products are made in the USA and that each is manufactured and tested in its North Carolina facility, with materials sourced in the USA. The emblem covers the full Nufabrx range. This profile describes where the product is made; it makes no health or efficacy claim.

The story

Nufabrx started with a college student and a dermatologist. Jordan Schindler, the company says, got the idea during a visit about pillowcases, and the first product was a bamboo pillowcase with tea tree oil and lavender.

The business grew into what it calls “Clothing 2.0” — fabric that carries an active ingredient in the yarn — working with a formulation scientist and with AFFOA.

When it came to making the product, Nufabrx went to North Carolina’s textile towns. The company says it was “important to Nufabrx to stay an American made company,” and that it wanted to “give life back to these historical mill towns.”

Why they matter

North Carolina’s mill towns lost much of their textile work over the last forty years. Nufabrx chose to build a new kind of textile product there rather than contract it out.

It is a small company doing technical manufacturing — infusing yarn with an active ingredient — in a place that knows how to knit.

Its claim is unqualified and appears on every product page sampled, which makes it easy for a buyer to check.
