JT Carpet Bag started in the 1960’s, a great idea born from Jerry Terrence. After seeing the marquee for The Carpetbaggers movie at Graumann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood it was then and there Jerry decided to create handbags made of carpet from his family’s business. Hence… JT Carpet Bag was founded.
The first collection with it’s classic style and innovative, non traditional use of carpet instantly created a craze selling over 1,000,000 bags in the US within a couple of years.
Since then, each new collection has pushed old and new design to new levels, always incorporating the rebellious attitude of the 60’s, fun, fashion and originality for the ever changing fashionista.
