Gloria Duchin, Inc. began with its namesake, Gloria Duchin, in 1979. After years of working in New York, first as a successful model and later as a business executive in retail and mail order, Gloria decided to bring her fashion savvy and business expertise to the world of seasonal décor and accessories. Her first collection was an assortment of flat, goldtone ornaments aptly named “jewelry for your tree.”
The company grew, and Gloria asked her daughter, Robyn Smalletz, a marketing executive in New York, to join her in the business. As President and CEO, Robyn expanded the focus in design by pioneering a trend and marketing forecasting program to incorporate the latest styles in fashion, business, and home décor into the company’s product line. Today, Gloria Duchin, Inc. has grown into a worldwide brand of metal ornaments, jewelry and keepsakes with over 100 million copyrighted ornaments in circulation, all designed and made right here in the USA.
