One facility, every product
All manufacturing and production takes place at the company’s own plant in South Portland, Maine. Face, body, hair, shave and fragrance lines all come off the same domestic line — there is no separately sourced import range.
Renewable by default

Raw ingredients such as coconut and shea are naturally sourced worldwide, which the company does not dispute, but no line is manufactured abroad. The story
Brickell started in 2014 with a photograph. Co-founder Josh Meyer’s girlfriend admitted she had quietly edited the wrinkles out of his forehead, and the search for a men’s skincare product he actually wanted to use came up empty — the shelf was full of either repackaged women’s formulas or products loaded with synthetics.
Josh began testing formulations from an apartment in Brickell, the Miami financial district that gave the company its name. His friend and co-founder Matt Bolduc worked from a garage back in their shared home state of Maine. The brand’s identity was Miami; its production was Maine from the first batch.
Rather than hand manufacturing to a contract packer, the two used their backgrounds in engineering and manufacturing to build a production facility in South Portland. That decision is the reason the company can still make an unqualified domestic manufacturing claim more than a decade later.
Brickell now serves more than three million men across 110-plus countries and has twice been named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in America — while every bottle still ships from the same Maine plant.
Why they matter
Men’s grooming is a category almost entirely built on contract manufacturing, much of it overseas. Brickell owns its plant, which means the domestic claim is a structural fact about the business rather than a sourcing decision that could quietly change next quarter.
The company scaled internationally without offshoring — 110 countries served from one facility in Maine. That is the opposite of the usual growth path, where international demand becomes the justification for moving production closer to cheaper labour.
Running the plant on 100% renewable local power ties the manufacturing story to the place itself. Maine wind, hydro and tidal generation is doing the work, which makes the operation a genuine piece of the state’s industrial base rather than a warehouse with a logo on it.
