Company-wide claim
The made-in-USA statement covers the trailer line as a whole, not an individual model.

What this emblem covers. Boreas Campers calls itself “a true, made-in-the-USA success story” and states that its trailers are built by hand in its own Pueblo, Colorado shop. The emblem reflects that company-wide statement.

The story

Boreas Campers was founded in 2015 by Matt Reichel, a former construction manager and engineer who spent years traveling the western United States as a ski instructor and mountain bike enthusiast. Along the way, he identified what he describes as a genuine need for overland trailers that were capable, small and high-quality — and started building his first prototype in a one-car garage on Boreas Pass near Breckenridge, Colorado, which gave the company its name.

That prototype became a production line built on three principles the company still states today: innovation, quality craftsmanship and rigorous attention to detail. Boreas moved away from the wood-framed construction common in the trailer industry, switching to all-metal and composite builds to cut down on rot, mold and long-term weight gain.

Production now runs out of the company’s own shop in Pueblo, Colorado, where trailers are assembled by hand rather than on a mass production line.

Why they matter

Off-road trailers are a small, specialized category, and Boreas competes with much larger importers by building in-house rather than outsourcing to an overseas contract manufacturer.

Buying from a maker like this keeps the entire build — design, welding and assembly — inside one Colorado shop and one American payroll.
