Company details
Where ORRCO products are made
“Our ISO 9001:2015-certified facility in Greensburg, Pennsylvania” is where the work happens — 45,000 square feet on Orr Road, equipped with “advanced CNC Mill-Turn Index machines and custom built machining centers.”
ORRCO runs no online store of its own; the brass fittings are sold on Amazon, and the origin language lives in the company’s own product announcements. Three fittings, three separate first-party statements, all unqualified.
“Our talented and experienced production teams fabricate superior quality products from brass, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and plastic.”
What this emblem covers. ORRCO states that its brass hose nozzle, quick connector and hose adapter connector are manufactured in the United States, and that its machining is done in its own Greensburg, Pennsylvania plant. We have not verified origin for every part ORRCO machines under contract for other companies, which is most of what the plant makes and is not sold under the ORRCO name.
The story
ORRCO is not really a garden-hose company. It is a job shop that happens to make garden-hose fittings, and understanding that is the difference between describing it accurately and describing it as a housewares brand.
Tom Orr came home from the Second World War and opened a screw machine shop in a Pittsburgh garage. In the company’s own telling, it “quickly earned a reputation for reliability” — the kind of reputation that in precision machining is built one tolerance at a time, over decades, with customers who will not tell you they are happy but will keep sending work.
Eighty years later the garage is a 45,000 square foot plant on Orr Road in Greensburg, forty miles east of Pittsburgh, and the customer list runs to medical, mining, construction, hydraulic and HVAC — “coal mining bit bodies to refrigeration valves,” as ORRCO puts it.
Why they matter
Most contract machine shops are invisible by design. Their parts end up inside someone else’s product, with someone else’s name on the box. ORRCO’s brass fittings are the exception: a short line of nozzles, quick connectors and adapters sold under its own name, made on the same machines as the mining bits.
That is why the origin claim here is worth something. A company that machines brass to a medical customer’s print does not need to advertise where it does the work; it needs the work to pass inspection. When ORRCO says its nozzle is “manufactured and assembled in the United States,” it is describing the plant it already runs, not a marketing position it adopted.
The other thing worth noticing is the workforce. ORRCO says many of its people “have built lifelong careers here, contributing 20 to 30 years of expertise.” In a trade where the constraint is nearly always skilled machinists rather than machines, twenty-year employees are the asset.

No. Its main business is contract precision machining for medical, mining, construction, hydraulic and HVAC customers — parts that carry other companies’ names. The brass consumer fittings are one small line off the same machines.
