Our assessment

Most snack brands put an origin claim on the About page and nowhere else. Field Trip puts Made in the USA inside the product listing itself, and it is there on 47 of the 52 products in the catalogue, across beef jerky, original meat sticks, chicken sticks and turkey sticks. Four different proteins, four different production lines, the same three words.

Category
Beef jerky in several marinades, original and pepperoni recipe meat sticks, chicken sticks, turkey sticks, and multipack and gift cooler assortments.
Scope of the claim
Checked across four protein families. Mandarin Orange Teriyaki Beef Jerky, Original Meat Stick, Mango Habanero Chicken Sticks and Cracked Pepper Turkey Stick all carry Made in the USA in their own product copy.
Founding year

Where Field Trip products are made

The claim is at product level, not brand level
Field Trip does not ask you to take a corporate statement on trust. The words Made in the USA appear inside the individual listing for each product, next to the ingredient panel, on 47 of the 52 items the company sells.
Four proteins, four lines
Beef jerky, pork and beef meat sticks, chicken sticks and turkey sticks are not made on the same equipment. Each of the four carries the same origin line, which is what a real domestic supply chain looks like rather than a single co-packer relationship.
What the company does not claim
Field Trip does not name a plant or a town. The five products without an origin line are mostly bundles and the gift cooler. This profile records that gap rather than papering over it, and does not extend the claim to the packaging or the cooler.

The Made in the USA statements quoted here were read live on 13 September 2026 from the company own product data at fieldtripsnacks.com, covering Mandarin Orange Teriyaki Beef Jerky, Original Meat Stick, Mango Habanero Chicken Sticks and Cracked Pepper Turkey Stick. The count of 47 of 52 products comes from a full read of the same catalogue on that date. The founding in 2010 by three friends out of a New York City apartment is published by the company on its own Our Story page. The Westport address and the legal entity Provisionaire and Co. LLC come from the company own privacy policy. No manufacturing town is asserted, because the company does not publish one.

The story

Field Trip started in 2010, when three friends working out of a New York City apartment decided that the meat snack aisle had a gap in it. The category at the time was split between gas station jerky and nothing, and the founders wanted something with a shorter ingredient list that still tasted like food.

The company own Our Story page introduces the three of them by name and by job. Tom handles marketing and brand, and put the national parks theme into the packaging because he hikes. Matt develops the flavours and is still proudest of the Everything Bagel jerky, which he says took thirty one rounds of recipe work. Scott runs operations and makes sure the ingredients land in time for each production run.

The range now covers beef jerky in several marinades, original and pepperoni recipe meat sticks, chicken sticks and turkey sticks. The legal entity behind it is Provisionaire and Co. LLC, based at 153 Post Road East in Westport, Connecticut.

Why they matter

Meat snacks are a category where domestic production still genuinely exists, which makes it worth checking rather than assuming. Plenty of protein bars and jerky brands are packed overseas and shipped in. The way to tell is to look at whether the origin claim is attached to each product or only to the company.

Field Trip attaches it to the product. That matters because a company level claim covers whatever the company wants it to cover, while a product level claim is a specific representation about a specific item, made where a customer is deciding whether to buy it.

Buying a Field Trip meat stick puts money into an American processing plant and, upstream of it, into American livestock. That is a shorter and more traceable chain than most of what is sold beside it on the shelf.
