The parts are 304 stainless rather than plated plastic or thin chrome-look trim, and they are laser-cut so each piece matches one model year of one vehicle. Fit tolerance is the whole product: trim that is a millimetre out looks worse than no trim at all.

The story
Quality Automotive Accessories started in 1978 and picked an unusual niche: the strips of bright trim that make a car look finished. It is a category that sits between the factory and the owner — dealers add it to raise a vehicle’s presentation before sale, and owners add it later to make a car feel new again.
QAA became the original manufacturer of TARGA GARD stainless accessories and built its catalogue outward from there, model by model. That is the difficult part of the business: every new vehicle generation needs its own pillar post pattern, its own rocker panel, its own gas door cover. The library grows and never shrinks.
Four decades on, the company is still in Westford, Massachusetts, still cutting 304 stainless, and still selling primarily to car dealers and distributors — a customer who notices immediately if a part does not fit.
Why they matter
Automotive trim is a category where the cheap version is genuinely worse and the difference shows up within a year. Chrome-look plastic hazes, thin plated trim pits and lifts at the edges, and adhesive that was specified for a warehouse in one climate fails in another.
